Recently, there was exciting news from the 11th National High-Skill Competition and the 3rd Jinji Lake Skills Invitational: two key technical experts from Shengshi Taikang's New Drug R&D – Analytical Department advanced through multiple rounds of competition to clinch the prestigious second-place award in the finals of the Biochemical Pharmaceutical Engineering Technology (Employee Group) team event.

On December 23, 2021, Suzhou, China — Suzhou recently announced its second batch of Gusu Leading Talents for 2021, and Dr. Tong Wang, CSO (Chief Scientific Officer) at Shengshi Taikang, along with Dr. Jiahong Zhao, CMO (Chief Medical Officer), were successfully selected as innovative leaders. Dr. Tong Wang earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Peking University and later obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry from Syracuse University in the United States. He boasts over two decades of comprehensive experience in drug discovery and development, as well as pharmaceutical management, gained at some of America’s top pharmaceutical companies and research institutions. Prior to joining Shengshi Taikang, Dr. Wang worked at Schering-Plough, the Translational Genomics Research Institute/Translational Drug Development Inc. in the U.S., where he led nearly ten groundbreaking global projects focused on developing first-in-class small-molecule drugs targeting areas such as cancer, immunology, ophthalmic diseases, and metabolic disorders. Notably, he successfully advanced four of these innovative drug programs into clinical-stage development.

Recently, Shengshi Taikang announced that it has received the "Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice" approved and issued by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), granting permission to initiate a single-agent clinical trial of its investigational FGFR/VEGFR dual-target inhibitor CGT-6321 in patients with advanced solid tumors. This drug is poised to become China's potential first-in-class new therapeutic option.
